Today was Halloween Parade at BISS. Isabelle and Oliver both got to wear their Halloween costumes to school instead of their uniforms. So, Dash and Violet Incredible came out for the third time in 7 days! I rode on the school bus with the kids, which they thought was the coolest thing! (I will remind them of this in 5-8 years time when I am no longer cool!)
Once at school, I walked Oliver to his classroom and then joined the other Mum’s (and Dad’s) in the Secondary lunch room for a coffee before going into the Theatre for the Halloween Parade.
The Reception Classes came in first and Oliver’s class – Reception Alder, was the first on the stage:
All 3 reception classes performed a wonderful dance to the Skeleton Song (knee bone connected to the thigh bone, etc!) and then there were 5 Nursery classes who joined them on the stage. What a wonderful sight to see so many lovely children in so many different costumes.
Once the Parade was over, all the parents went back to their little one’s classroom for Halloween activities. It was so much fun to spend an hour with Oliver helping him decorate a cup cake, paint a trick or treat cup, make a spooky eye, play a halloween memory game, and stick 20 pumpkins on a sheet in the right order. He was so happy to have me there and it is moments like this that I treasure.
A lovely start to my day. Memories made for both of us.
